Affordable WAVE Condos by Daniels on Sale Soon
Martin Blake expects to see dozens of people lined up outside his Etobicoke sales office next Saturday morning, bleary-eyed from their overnight vigil but eager to buy a new home.After all, that’s what has happened every time The Daniels Corp. has started selling one of its popular FirstHome communities. The only difference with WAVE Lakeshore West is that it’s a highrise condo.
And since the 13-storey project is already built, perspective buyers will be able to walk through the finished suites, explains Blake, vice-president of project implementation for Daniels.
Prices range from $119,900 for a 405-square-foot studio unit to $214,000 for a 755-square-foot, top-floor, two-bedroom unit.
And anyone who buys on Sept. 30 won’t have to pay the 42-cents-per-square-foot maintenance fees for the first year, Blake adds.
More than 3,000 people have already registered their interest in buying one of the 178 units, so Blake expects WAVE will be sold out within days.
“On the Saturday morning, starting at 8 a.m., we’ll provide food, water and entertainment to keep people happy in line,” he adds.
To help bring control costs, Blake explains that all the interior finishes have been chosen and buyers will choose from four packages, which include floors, cabinets, carpeting and tile. Amenities are limited to a multi-purpose room and Internet lounge.
WAVE, a stucco building with well articulated design features, is located on Garnett Janes Rd., adjacent to Garnett Janes Park in south Etobicoke.
