A must for those thinking of buying a condominium
What to look for and what questions to ask
From the Condo Guide Magazine
Tuscany Gates in Mississauga hosted an afternoon full of condo buying information, as three experts talked about the ins and outs of buying a condominium. Phyllis Shapiro of Realty Partners gave an expert’s insight on the Toronto real estate market and why condominiums are a good investment.
Anna Litwinski from the Bank of Montreal outlined the various financing options available to purchasers, mortgage options, what the term “capped rate” means and how to fund a down payment.
How condos actually work, what are “condo docs” and “interim ownership,” and what one should look for when buying a condo were explained by David Nakelsky of Green and Speigel Barristers and Solicitors. He was able to outline many of the details that arise when a condominium shopper is ready to sign the Offer of Purchase and Sale.
The challenges of space planning in a new condominium home became an enlightening experience when Carmen Dragomir of Esqape Design showed the audience various options for furniture layouts in some of the floor plans offered at Tuscany Gates.
“There is always more that one solution,” she says. “You just have to determine what works best for your lifestyle.” Carmen also points out the options of purchasing pieces of furniture that have more than one use, such as an ottoman that can be used as a coffee table or, when guests are over, as seating.
Tuscany Gates is a slim, elegant, 20-storey tower rising from a gently curving two-storey podium, which, in turn, wraps around a large circular piazza, complete with a romantic fountain. The podium holds The Tuscany Club, which features an open air pool with a resort-style courtyard, an adjoining fitness centre, cyber lounge, library and entertainment area. There is also an outdoor walking path and barbeque area.
Convenience is one of the important benefits of living at Tuscany Gates, where you’ll be minutes from Hwys. 401, 403, the 407 and the QEW, putting you close to the entire GTA and beyond.
Best of all, Tuscany Gates is supremely affordable. Prices start at $229,900, and you will be able to move into Tuscany Gates in late 2007.
