Creating the Luxe lifestyle
Luxe’s fabulous location and stunning condo suites draw buyers in
Ronnie Lum and Pansy Hui may be first-time purchasers, but they knew exactly what they were looking for when they initially came to look at Menkes’ condominium community, Luxe.
Still finishing their schooling, the couple wanted a condo they could move into once Ronnie finished his graduate studies at the University of Toronto. By then, Pansy will have completed her education in occupational health and safety as well, and they’ll both be out in the workforce and ready to make their next move as a couple. Because they don’t know where they might be working, they wanted something directly on public transit - making commuting easy no matter where they have to go. They also wanted a great suite layout, a developer they could trust, and fantastic standard finishes that wouldn’t require a lot of upgrades. Luxe fit the bill on all of their needs.
“I think we had seen probably about five condos before we came to Luxe, and I think it was clearly the best,” says Ronnie. “For us, it was a no-brainer.”
Luxe’s convenient location at Yonge and Finch, adds Pansy, is not only directly on the subway line and close to both their families, it is also surrounded by shopping and services. If their jobs end up being outside of Toronto, the GO Station is also close by for easy access out of town.
But location wasn’t the only thing that drew them in. The couple bought a two-bedroom condo on the 25th floor of Luxe’s first phase tower, enjoying the unit for its efficient use of space, ample storage room and finishes that include granite kitchen countertops and hardwood flooring in the living and dining room. “Everything is pretty much upgraded, so you don’t have to do much or put out more money,” says Pansy.
In fact, all suites at Luxe come with a list of fabulous finishes that include granite kitchen countertops; Luxe signature kitchen cabinetry; ENERGY STAR appliances; cultured marble bathroom countertops; engineered wood floors in the living/dining room; a choice of 40-oz. broadloom in the den and bedrooms; and porcelain tile flooring in the foyer, kitchen and bathrooms.
Designed by Bryon Patton of Patton & Associates, Luxe’s common interior spaces are just as spectacular, with an alluring lobby featuring a 24-hour concierge, as well as a reading room styled in red for a stimulating and vibrant environment. There is also the chic Luxe Lounge, a spacious club-inspired party facility with a bar, caterer’s kitchen, private dining room and plenty of space for entertaining in fashionable elegance.
As well, residents will enjoy a full range of five-star amenities, including a games lounge for billiards and cards, theatre room for private screenings, a quiet lounge, indoor swimming pool and a state-of-the-art fitness centre. The Luxe Outdoor Lounge will be a tranquil place for quiet moments or alfresco entertaining, with barbecues for summer grilling and seating areas surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens, manicured grass and sculptural ground coverings, all sheltered from the public eye by a unique arbour covered in lush vines and greenery.
Purchasers will be able to choose from a variety of one-bedroom, one-bedroom-plus-den, two-bedroom and two-bedroom-plus-den condos, ranging in size from 545 to 920 sq. ft. and priced from $169,990.
