Plazacorp/Berkeley breaks ground at West Harbour City Phase 1 - Phase 2 now on sale
Construction has started on the first phase of West Harbour City - Plazacorp/Berkeley’s two tower condominium community that will soon rise near the foot of Bathurst, on the north side of Fleet Street. Residents will live at one of Toronto’s last great downtown lakefront addresses, across from Coronation Park in Harbourfront West. The 36-storey limestone-coloured, pre-cast Phase 1 tower will replace the brown brick brewery buildings that currently occupy the site.
Resort-style living at West Harbour City Phase 1 will include 24-hour concierge and a personal services concierge. At The Harbour Club Spa and Fitness Centre, suite owners will be able to access a rooftop indoor pool and whirlpool, and an outdoor promenade deck with panoramic lake and city views. A grand piano lounge, billiard and card rooms, media theatre, reception and party room with fireplace seating area and a fully equipped catering kitchen will accommodate residents’ entertainment needs. Phase 2, now on sale and architecturally similar to Phase I, also boasts its own Harbour Club on the 11th floor of that building.
The Phase 2 sales centre features two Bryon Patton-decorated furnished model suites showcasing West Harbour City’s exceptional standard features: nine-ft. ceilings; kitchens with granite counters and flooring, Paris cabinetry, Blanco sinks, Kohler faucets, and a full complement of six stainless-steel, white or black KitchenAid and Whirlpool appliances; engineered hardwood flooring in all living areas, foyers, bedrooms and dens; marble floors and counters; and more. The two model suites and sales office are located on the top floor of one of the existing brewery buildings on the property, where visitors can also experience spectacular views of the city skyline, the harbour, the islands and the lake.
Residents will be surrounded by King West shopping, including a 24-hour Dominion store and the many new shops and services of King West Village, as well as the stores (Sobey’s, Rabba Fine Foods, etc.) in Harbourfront, plus the Exhibition grounds, Ontario Place, the Molson Amphitheatre, the Financial District, ACC and Rogers Centre, plus the King West Entertainment District, Old Fort York and the 32-acre park surrounding it, and the Martin Goodman Trail. The new King West Village, with its Dominion Superstore, is steps away. The Harbourfront LRT line is literally at the door, so residents will have immediate TTC access to the subway, Spadina LRT, Union Station and GO Transit.
