Toronto condo, loft and real estate buyers in general need to be aware of their options so they are in the best position to protect themselves in a real estate transaction. The role of a Toronto real estate agent has changed a fair bit over the past several years.
Prior to 1991, all real estate agents worked for the seller in a real estate transaction. A buyer can now choose to have their own representation by a licensed real estate agent and receive the same legal relationship that sellers have been receiving for years.
A Toronto loft, condo or house buyer who knows their options will want to select their real estate representative as soon as possible. This is important for a few reasons: 1) to avoid potential conflicts of interest by making many calls to various Toronto real estate agents in ads such as the listing agents representing sellers, or, 2) when shopping new home and condo sites where the representatives are not necessarily real estate agents and have no accountability to the buyer, only to the builder.
Above all else, we know that most clients want a real estate agent who is willing to work at their speed. This can sometimes be a very concentrated effort to find the perfect Toronto property as fast as possible. Other times, it may be a more leisurely approach where the time is not important as the end result. If it takes a year to find that perfect home, then it takes a year to find that perfect home.
We understand that it is our job to work with each clients' different needs and approach each situation with patience and honesty. We never tell our clients that they "must buy this one".
