La Piazza Lofts - 39 Roehampton Avenue
The La Piazza Lofts is one of the only uptown loft buildings in Toronto. It features two storey units with mezzanine bedrooms and 16 foot ceilings in the living areas. Top floor units have access to private rooftop terraces and other units have juliette balconies or ground floor patios.
La Piazza is located on Roehampton Avenue, just north of Yonge and Eglinton. There are a total of 27 units, but all of the lofts are two stories and feature an area of 17’ high ceilings in the living area. Windows are an astonishing 16ft of glass.
Developed by builders Kellner Jourdan in 1990, these developers were one of the first in Toronto to build a new loft style property from scratch. With architecture by Littlewood Hesse Architects Ltd., this modern structure is comprised of concrete, glass, and steel. Ground floor suites facing the courtyard have patios, penthouses have roof gardens, and the rest feature juliette balconies.
All of the La Piazza Lofts are two stories and feature an area of 17' high ceilings in the living room, and come in one bedroom and one bedroom + den configurations. Large 16' high windows allow lots of natural light. The development is comprised of two small towers each serviced by one elevator. Security is by way of enter phone buzzer. Due to the building's small size, there are no facilities to speak of.
