Space Lofts - 255 Richmond Street East
Space Lofts' name is a bit misleading, since loft sizes start here from as little as 350 square feet and, as far as I know, don't exceed 1,000 square feet. There are some really nice lofts in the building though, and the location is great, within walking distance to the St. Lawrence Market. In the two-storey lofts the living area is quite impressive with the floor-to-ceiling windows through its 18-feet height. Single storey units with their 9-feet height can hardly be called lofts.
Located on the lower east side of downtown (Richmond and Jarvis), the owners at Space have convenient access to King St. E, the Distillery District, St. Lawrence Market, and the Financial District from their residence. This soft loft building was completed in 2004 with mostly 2 storey lofts with the bedroom on the upper level and huge floor to ceiling windows spanning 18 feet.
There are also some single-level condos on Space Lofts' higher floors. Facilities include a gym, sauna, rec room and concierge. Space does provide affordable stylish interiors steps to downtown. Rising 15 levels and housing some 200 units, Space features two-level lofts for 8 floors and then one level flats to the 15th floor. All suites feature balconies and all lofts feature 16'8" ceilings.
