Avondale is a new and rather small neighbourhood composed of many new condos along Yonge and Sheppard, as well as a group of older homes in the core. There is a small park at the centre, with a school to the south. Lots of shopping and restaurants on Yonge Street, and the new Sheppard subway line brought transit to the area, which certainly helped fuel construction in the area.
